Fahad Siadat

Biography

Fahad Siadat creates interdisciplinary storytelling works, folding together words, sound, and movement into spiritual parables and narratives. He is an advocate of innovative and adventurous music, particularly for vocal ensembles, and specializes in improvised and drone based works for voice and electronics. Fahad is artistic director of HEX Vocal Ensemble – a resident ensemble with the HEAR NOW festival, and is co-artistic director of The Resonance Collective in New York. An experienced choral director praised for his “characteristic vivaciousness”, Fahad regularly works as a clinician and workshop presenter on new vocal music. In 2012, he founded See-A-Dot Music Publishing, a company devoted to the advocacy of adventurous choral music.
