Theodosia Roussos enjoys an active career as a Soprano, Oboe/English Horn player, and Composer internationally. She has performed with orchestras including the Los Angeles Philharmonic, Boston Philharmonic, and studios including Warner Brothers, Sony, and EastWest. She recently recorded oboe/EH, and composed for “The Last Black Man in San Francisco,” and voice for Miranda July’s film “Kajillionaire.” Theodosia has performed under the baton of James Conlon, Placido Domingo, Carl St. Clair, and John Harbison. She also starred as Maria in West Side Story in 2018 with USC, and at Songfest with conductor Michael Barrett and Jamie Bernstein narrating. Theodosia made her solo vocal debut in 2015 with the Phoenix Symphony, and was a featured soloist of the Pafos 2017 European Union Cultural Capital. Theodosia will premiere her original opera Polymnia in September 2020 at UCLA, perform with Four Larks and record with HOCKET this May, in addition to premieres of her solo cello work at CU Boulder, and Sappho Songs for the L.A. Camerata. Theodosia’s passion for contemporary music has lead to performances at REDCAT, Banff Center for Creativity, Bang on a Can Festival, soundSCAPE. Theodosia holds degrees from Oberlin Conservatory, UCLA, and USC where she is a frequent guest lecturer.
