A TO Z with The Industry
Get to know Ash Fure, Malik Gaines, and Yuval Sharon, the three members of The Industry’s Artistic Director Cooperative! Using the letters of the alphabet as a prompt, the three artists offer a mixed-media “A to Z” presentation introducing themselves and the spirit of the dialogue that will animate the next three years of the company.
This free, in-person event also includes a public conversation with artist and interlocutor Nikita Gale and features music performed by The Industry’s Company members.

ABOUT THE INDUSTRY’S ARTISTIC DIRECTOR COOPERATIVE
The Industry, LA’s experimental opera company, recently announced a new leadership structure with three Artistic Directors forming a cooperative to lead the company to the next phase of its creative life. Ash Fure is a sonic artist whose full-bodied listening experiences open uncommon sites of collective encounter. Malik Gaines is an interdisciplinary artist described by Artforum as a genre-defying “writer, performer and collectivist.” And Yuval Sharon is The Industry’s founder, who conceived and directed all of The Industry’s large-scale projects to date, including Invisible CIties, Hopscotch, and Sweet Land. During their 3-year terms, each artist will present a smaller-scale project and a large-scale production.
