Biography

Actor and opera singer Kurt Sanchez Kanazawa has been praised for his “smoky-toned” (New York Times) “athletic voice and kinetic volatility” (New York Times) of “villany swathed in velvet” (Opera News). Born in Los Angeles, with roots in Hawaii, he is a graduate of The Juilliard School (GD), Manhattan School of Music (MM), and Columbia University (BA-Visual Arts). TV/Film credits include ABC’s “Grey’s Anatomy”, RAI UNO’s “Provaci ancora Prof!”, and an upcoming Facebook Watch Series with Anwar Jibawi (5m Youtube followers). Stage credits include Boston Court Pasadena, Sierra Madre Playhouse, LATW, Ojai Playwrights Conference, Artists at Play, and the Edinburgh Fringe Festival. He is an AudioFile Earphones Award Winner 2019 for LATW’s “Sisters Matsumoto” by Philip Kan-Gotanda.
